About Us
Our History
Established in 1928, The Tabernacle Assembly of God has been a cornerstone of the Del Rio community for nearly a century. From its founding, our church has served as a place of worship, fellowship, and spiritual growth for families along the Texas-Mexico border.
Through decades of faithful service, generations of families have called The Tabernacle their spiritual home -grandparents, parents, and children worshipping side by side. Our church has always been a place for everyone, welcoming all who seek to know Jesus Christ.
Our church has weathered seasons of growth and change, always anchored in the unchanging message of Jesus Christ. We have seen God move powerfully through revivals, community outreach, and the faithful preaching of His Word. Each generation has added its own chapter to our story, building on the foundation laid by those who came before.
Today, The Tabernacle continues that legacy as a vibrant, bilingual congregation serving Del Rio and the surrounding communities. We honor those who planted the seeds of faith in this place while looking forward to what God has in store for the next generation.
